I started pet sitting after I almost lost my husky, Akoya after she spent 4 nights at a kennel. I swore after that I would never put another dog in any sort of kennel or boarding situation. When I started, my dog, Izzee came with me wherever I went, including pet sitting. She was a licensed therapy dog that myself and a few friends in dog rescue used to test the temperament of other dogs because she as so chill and well behaved. Izzee had her own instagram page and was known all over town.

Izzee, my soul dog, adventure pal, and BFF of 16 years, is no longer with us in the physical realm but she is with us in spirit and in my heart forever. Losing her has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through. It’s pure raw sadness and I am still figuring out my new normals.

So for now, it’s just me.

I used to run an in home dog rescue for a few years until I moved to the mountains of western NC. I have been involved in animal welfare and rescue awareness for many years.

I have 25+ years experience with:

Dog and cat care
Reptile care
Some horse and other animal care
Administering medication – pills, shots, etc
Basic dog training
Providing walks, cuddles, belly rubs and lots of love
Playing fetch and chase
Taking your pup on hikes, walks at the park, out to coffee shops or a yoga class.
Care and feeding of chickens, goats, etc

With in home pet care also comes house sitting duties such as garbage/recycling, watering plants/gardens, mail collecting, etc.

I have a few clients that schedule their vacations around my schedule. Therefore, my pet care calendar gets filled up months in advance so please reach out sooner than later if you are need.

In Your Home Basic Rate:

$130/night*
Cats typically included
Just cats – reach out for pricing
other fees may apply (late return on last day, special needs, other animals, exotic animals, driving distance)
Discount given for trip over 2weeks.
Holiday fee is $50/holiday

*Overnight = 24hour period which begins at the time of the first visit.

Just a day visit/walk – $45/hour
